Vision: Having an empowered and trained community that responds to their social and economic needs independently.  
Goal:
Raising Human Rights Awareness.
To improve the quality and standard of living of rural communities through research, advocacy and capacity building FIRD has a Board of Directors (BOD), which is the top policy making body, comprising of 9 members (3 women and 6 men). The organization has an established secretariat with 4 full time qualified professional staff and some local and international volunteers.
FIRD carries out programs in areas of environmental protection, food security,governance & human rights, peace education and sexual & reproductive health rights which includes child protection, gender based violence and HIV/AIDS.
